Does anyone know where I can find a review on the Compaq Presario C717NR notebook? I've tried looking on a bunch of different laptop/notebook review sites but it isn't there. Laptop/Notebook reviews and suggestions? Im in the market for a laptop and i would love from some input from people who own one. I pretty much just need a basic laptop, any brand will do. It doesn't have to be a workhorse but i need some stability behind it. And i'm going in inexpensive but but not CHEAP. Like with a good processor, memory, RAM and all that but i don't need top-of-the-line. Hoping for under $500. should I be worried about leaving my notebook computer in my car? I live in texas...so you can imagine the weather. in high school and our campus went wireless, so since then, i've been taking notes on my notebook comp. There's two huge tests on wednesday and I have this big v-ball game to play in tuesday night . I was thinking about taking my notebook to school with me like I always do, but....I don't really wanna take it on the bus with me, so if I left it in the car, with the windows rolled down a little.....will that harm it? we leave at 4 and prolly will get back by atleast 9...maybe later I would print everything out, but both classes are doing a major review of everything and I don't want to miss anything so I need to be able to actually read my notes. . .

What is the best cooling pad for a laptop/notebook? I had read tons of reviews and still cannot decide. I curently have a 3" box fan at the back of my computer and it is the noisiest little fan ever. What companies have the best laptop notebook? I am looking to purchase a new notebook PC, up to around $1400...I am most concerned of its light weight and video card; 13' - 16 ' preferably, as well as a nice look, no ugly HPs or Toshibas....I have owned 2 Sony VAIO notebooks that were ok, but what do you all suggest after purchasing or reviewing notebooks? I see a lot of notebooks that say they have small dedicated cards, but up to 512 MB and can also have a total video memory of 2280 MB! I assume this is from the system memory, but does this extra non-existent memory help out in game play? What do I need to look out for?

Is the Compaq Presario C717NR notebook a good laptop? Circuit City has them on sale for $299 and I think I'm going to buy one for my boyfriend but I was trying to find reviews and couldn't find any. The laptop has 1gb ram and an 80gb hard drive. And yes, the ever so popular Vista. (I'm not a fan of windows, but for his purposes mac is not ideal)

Golden Notebook or Far Pavilion? I am about to take a trip and need a book for the flight. I don't know which to pick because I am not personally invested in either. sony vaio sz34gp hybrid(dual) graphics notebook question? I am planning to buy the sony vaio SZ34GP notebook since it has both GMA950 graphics as well as NVIDIAGEFORCEGO 7400. It can be used with the gma 950 to give upto 5 hours of battery life and when needed the nvidia graphics can be used to provide best performance but with reduced battery life. As far as i checked out there is no other notebook manufacturer offering such a product. Does anyone know if this notebook may cause some problems or stability issues because of this hybrid graphics solution? Any links to websites having reviews for this notebook are also welcome. Buying a refurbished notebook on ebay? i know refurbished notebooks are practically new, but i wanted to know if it would be the same to buy it off ebay? the seller has 99.8% positive reviews. p.s. the notebook is a HP Pavilion dv6227cl. Some advice please, if possible - re Samsung Notebook? I'm thinking of buying a Samsung notebook and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to give me a sort of review? Toshiba Notebook Computer Question? Hi there everyone. I just have a quick question...I'm looking to buy a Toshiba Notebook Computer seeing they are pretty reasonable and I've heard great reviews on them from friends and on some sites as well. I'm currently a sophomore in college and I plan on transferring to a 4 year university pretty soon. I just need a laptop that will allow me to surf the web, download music at a fairy high speed, type essays and listen to music as well as instant message and all that good stuff that comes with being a college student :p I want to be able to do all these possibly at the same time without having my computer lagging because I'm the most impatient person out there. The laptop should be reasonable as well when it comes to price. I'm getting confused with all of the different processors..I have no idea what the differences are. If you could please let me know what you feel would work with my current situation I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance! :D oh and one more thing, a laptop with a lot of memory space would be great seeing i have a ton of digital camera pictures and i love saving all of them...even the ugly looking ones ;)
